The Mighty Norse Football Team recently attended the full contact team camp at Chadron State College in Chadron Nebraska. Our team consisted of 39 Players and 8 coaches. Participating in the camp were 12 large schools from Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. The daily schedule included Offensive and Defensive skills and fundamentals taught to our players by the Chadron coaching staff. Two hours of offensive and defensive team practice. One 7 on 7 game for our skilled players and an offensive pass protection and defensive pass rush drill for our linemen. The day would be concluded with two scrimmages for both the Varsity and JV.

The Chadron coaching staff was very hospitable, professional and knowledgeable. They took a lot of time discussing techniques and drills with our coaches. They also provided us with three DVDs that included all their positional drills. It was soon obvious to us why they have won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship the last three years.

The Northglenn coaching staff was very pleased with the performance of our players at the Chadron football camp. It was encouraging to see their hard work, effort and commitment to improving themselves as football players. It was enjoyable as a coach, to see their improvement throughout the camp. It was also obvious that their time at the camp has brought them closer together as a team.

We would like to thank all the parents for supporting this very valuable learning experience for our program. We would like to give a special thanks to the Booster Club for the outstanding job of organizing the trip. The trip would not have happened without you! We are hoping that the players that attended this year enjoyed the camp enough that trips in the future will include all the players in the program. GO NORSE!!!!
